Aerial Yoga with Nicole

Classes held at Quantum Fitness in Kannapolis, NC

Meet the Instructor

Nicole Gleason, AYTT-50

Hey there! I my name is Nicole and I am so glad you are here.

I discovered aerial yoga in early 2022 and fell in love with it instantly. After practicing weekly for a month or so, my mentor suggested I pursue my Aerial Yoga Teacher Training. I thought, “a whole weekend to practice aerial yoga? Count me in!” I was not 100% sold at the time on pursuing teaching, but I slowly came around to the idea.

I briefly taught children’s classes and while I loved it, I also found it a tad overwhelming. Currently I teach classes designed for individuals 16 years and older (yes, and I mean older! I have had students into their 50s and 60s!). I really find purpose in helping others tackle a movement or pose they thought impossible for them.

I hope to see you in the hammock soon!

Explore traditional yoga poses with the support of the aerial hammock

From child’s pose, to cobra, to warrior 2, the aerial hammock is a prop used to help provide support and/or allow you access to different ranges of motion that are not possible in traditional yoga.

Not sure the hammock can support you? Though the silk is soft, it is also strong! Between the silks and the attachments, they are rated to hold the weight of 3 baby elephants! That’s a max dynamic load of 2,000lbs!

Flippin’ fun!

Utilizing the aerial hammock, participants have the opportunity to explore new inversions. Not a fan of getting upside down? No problem, Nicole will guide you through inversions at your pace and there is always a modification available that keeps you right-side up.
